OBJECTIVES

As a decisive team leader in our SharePoint community of Northern VA, my main objective is to serve our community, mentor, train and motivate people interested in a career in Information Technology. I am a passionate and strive to develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with colleagues, team and management. BACKGROUND

I am an Office 365 SME, Speaker, Microsoft Certified Specialist in SharePoint Administration as well as Business Intelligence, currently in charge of Office 365 SharePoint Online administration, designing and managing various site collections/contents with complex forms and workflow processes.
Versed in a multitude of Office 365 SharePoint tools and technologies, I train (power users on Office 365 SharePoint online site management as well as forms and workflow solutions), recommend, create, support and manage apps that best fits the customer’s needs.
Managed various .Net -bootstrapped web applications that are used by customers on a day to day basis.

I have been working in SharePoint space since 2006, I have developed and supported solutions in Microsoft SharePoint (Versions:2010,2013;Office 365-Nintex for Office 365 apps, InfoPath designer 2013, SharePoint designer 2013), Business intelligence tools for reporting(Office tools, MS BI Stack, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript libraries).

I am in charge of gathering requirements, architecting the right solution for customers, training, creating and maintaining Office 365 SharePoint Site Collections along with forms and workflow processes and their dashboards using disparate charting tools. I have designed and created the structure of the existing site template that has been deployed enterprise wide. I architect and support various forms and workflow solutions for schools and departments.
For user adoption, support and as a tool for end-user training I designed and setup a blog site with more than 80+ posts containing information of frequently asked-How-Tos, advanced site management questions, office 365 app FAQs, with step by step instructions including graphics where necessary. This continues to grow organically addressing the various questions customers have on Office 365 apps, it is used regularly by all the users/power-users alike in our organization for reference on a day to day basis.

Business Intelligence Consultant| ASR
November 2010 – September 2012

As a Business Intelligence Consultant, I was in-charge of designing dashboards, reports, custom and offline OLAPs(.cub) cubes to demonstrate the capabilities of our custom data-marts that are tailor made financial solutions for State and local governments. I gather requirements and based upon client needs recommend what tool best suits their reporting purposes (PowerPivot/ SSRS/ Excel Pivots). For the purpose of demo of our data-marts, I at present use Microsoft’s business intelligence stack (Sql Server 2008 R2, Analysis Services 08 R2, Reporting Services 08 R2 and Excel 2010/PowerPivot) and am currently working on leveraging SharePoint 2010’s ability for the same.

Department of Treasury: As a Business Intelligence Specialist and .NET developer, I was responsible for developing and maintaining the existing C#.NET based web application (Accounting Sub Ledger). I was also responsible for delivering demo/s on the use and advantages of SQL Server Reporting Services to the CFO group.

The Consortium and alliance partners-National Dashboard: As Geo-spatial Business Intelligence and SharePoint expert, I was in charge of the creation of a public-consumption SharePoint dashboard with an interactive map for geo-spatial intelligence for the office of the Vice President. Dashboard users can find the mapping functionality very interactive. On the mapping page, they can choose a region/MPO or county and go to its corresponding reports dashboard, by passing parameters between the mapping component and the dashboard, thereby providing a better end user experience.  I created various SQL Configuration feeds, Shape file overlays, data layers and various custom actions for enabling geo-drill downs, detailed and drill-through analysis of the various metrics. http://www.nationaldashboard.org/Tools/Pages/Map.aspx

DC CapStat: As a Geo-spatial Business Intelligence and SharePoint expert, I was responsible for and produced a public-consumption SharePoint dashboard with an interactive map for geo-spatial intelligence for the DC CapStat. The primary functionality of this application that I was responsible for creating is to display CapStat’s publicly available Juvenile arrest data. I incorporated lots of custom functionalities to the mapping application that eased the end user experience. I also integrated various SQL configuration feeds and ShapeFiles to the map. I also provided a custom basemap option as per the requirement of the end user.

Department of Commerce (Bureau of Economic Analysis) – Washington DC, USA – Geospatial Data Analysis: As a Geo-spatial Business Intelligence and SharePoint expert, I produced a public-consumption SharePoint dashboard with an interactive map for geo-spatial intelligence. I successfully installed and configured Visual Fusion Server and Visual Fusion Experience on Windows 2003, 2008 servers.  I developed a Silverlight 3.0 application with interactive controls for the mapping solution and integrated the application within a SharePoint page.  I created various SQL Configuration feeds, Shape file overlays, data layers and various custom actions for enabling geo-drill downs, detailed and drill-through analysis of the various metrics.

Microsoft – Redmond, WA, USA – OIPI Documentation for Report Page Layout:  BI Specialist.  As the Business Intelligence and SSRS Specialist, I analyzed the Report Page Layout’s ObjectModel, Reader and Format files provided by Microsoft developers to determine the specifications for the Report Page Layout binary stream which is a component of SQL Server Reporting Services.  I strictly adhered to the guidelines for OIPI documentation and documented the various structures, properties, and enumeration along with their bit diagrams contained within the code files of Report Page Layout format.  I created several examples of report items for describing the structure of the RPL stream.

Huron Performance Dashboard  – As a business intelligence specialist, I was responsible for developing multiple reports in Reporting Services 2008 that contained gauges, charts and tablix data regions. I has published the reports to a SharePoint site, written various expressions to pass SSRS report parameters through URL from one report to another,  formatting the values displayed within the Tablix data region etc.,. I has written custom codes for the reports to render status images and trend charts.

Custom Web Part – I successfully developed a reusable custom webpart filter (.wsp) solution, using C# with embedded JavaScript and CSS.  This toolpart functions like a parameter panel connected to the databases, tables and columns in SQL server 2008. The values of the column selected are sent to a custom check box dropdown list within the custom filter webpart. The parameter value chosen from the list can then be connected to multiple SQL server reporting services 2008 reports within a SharePoint page for filtering them.

Application and Web Developer – I developed various data marts, reporting applications, local/offline cubes, and C# applications for executing SSIS packages. I was involved in the assessment and recommendation of BI tools and assisted in the design of the logical and physical data warehouse schema. I also assisted optimizing Analysis Services(SSAS) and Integration Services(SSIS) performance Identifying and managing data quality issues. I was involved in the development and maintenance of ASR web site. The various project modules I was involved with are listed as follows,

WCA:  I created Data Marts for Workers compensation module using Cognos 7.x, MS Sql server 2005 Analysis services. Created local/offline cubes for independent accessing of data by the user. Created various WCA reports using Excel 2007 and Cognos-Powerplay.  Used SQL Server Integration services to create packages that extracted, transformed and loaded input data from warehouse to our datamarts.  Developed tools for efficient dimension and transaction maintenance.

ASRMIE, IDX: I co-designed a multi-basis reporting solution that analyzes Financial & Non-financial metrics. Developed tools for efficient dimension maintenance. Deployed products at the client end. Created MIE Administrator product using C# that loaded input data into the database through the SSIS packages.

CAFR Builder: GASB complaint Comprehensive Annual Financial Report is a series of reports and schedules that highlight and explain the entity’s performance. State and Local governments are obligated to prepare and disclose this report as part of transparent governance. I developed a reporting application that generated GASB compliant report using MS SQL server 2005 Analysis Services and Excel 2007/2003
